There is a new collection of wallpaper available, even if it’s mostly for my personal nostalgia purposes. It’s a selection of photos I took last year in Tuscany. Enjoy and let me know if you like it!
As everyone knows by now, I am back in Helsinki. The fact that there have been no visible updates here in months does not mean the site has not been updated. (Neither does it mean that I spend all my time on Facebook.) While in Florence, I obviously wrote for the blog. There are some other things too.
For the near future, as I will be working on my Master’s thesis, the updates will be related to Machiavelli. I have translated a poem and I am thinking of translating an important letter by him, and very likely they will both end up on the site. The musical projects are right now on hold, but I have lots of ideas I want to try out.
I try not to use this space for stuff about my personal life, because I do not like to read other people’s blogs about their lives. Most people would probably agree that people’s lives in general aren’t very interesting.
But I’ll make an exception because I am excited about a few things right now. First of all, I finished my spell at the Media Lab where I have been working since June 2005. The final weeks I spent in Linz, Austria helping to put together the Media Lab Campus Exhibition at Ars Electronica 2006.
My near future is very Italian. I will be studying from February to June in Florence. Undoubtedly my Italian will improve, and I hope to learn something new about my favorite thinker and Renaissance philosophy in general. And of course, aesthetically, culinarily and oenologically speaking my expectations could not be higher.
Only a few days left before the opening match between the hosts Germany and Costa Rica. While waiting, read my light little preview story, right now on the front page of kuro5hin.org. A copy is also available here at my own site.
